Rainshine

rainy Rome used to make me so sad,
but i've recently reached
the conclusion that
happiness really should not be affected in absence of sunshine. ..
the following is a short
'poesia' [poem],
a rainy reflection
written yesterday morning

Rainy days
Overflow the fear
that life’s joy
can really
wash away
in the street dirt
and trash
others left behind

yes, there is something about the short ones... I like the way that the trash is really what washes away

Hey Shae it's Crystal, Caleb's wife. Too bad you had to go back to Rome before our wedding. Wish you could have been there. I love your poem though. It made me think of God. How are you? We all miss you!

rain always makes me think about the cleansing of the blood of Jesus, washing my sins and dirt and trash away! after living in AZ i really missed the rain, so now being in VA where it rains again, it's very welcomed when i get to cuddle up on the couch... still struggle with the "out of the house puddles and greyness"
